SEO Page Speed

A recent update at Google is the need for speed! Google’s recent ‘core web vitals’ elements really announced Google’s desire for a website to load fast and provide a seamless user experience. A slow load time is obviously annoying to anyone so Google rewards sites that load fast and vice versa. We find in particular that mobile load time is most often poor and takes the most work to resolve. Elements like over sized images, excessive scripts and coding are the most common culprits for slow load time.

In some industries where aesthetic is crucial [eg. Architects, home builders, cosmetic surgery] then you may accept a slower load time because the positive user experience from the imagery or functionality may be worth a slightly slower load time and SEO rank. If I am going to have my new house built I really want to be ‘wowed’ by the images of what they have done before and their gallery.
